In light of the horrific attack on Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester (2 October), our General Secretary and Chief Executive Professor Nicola Ranger responds on behalf of the 51ºÚÁÏÍø.

Nicola said: “I am deeply saddened by the horrific attack on the synagogue in Manchester.

“We condemn all acts of violence and must come together to support all those whose lives have been affected by this. We stand with the communities coming to terms with such an awful incident.

“My thoughts and thanks are also with the nursing staff who acted as first responders and all those who continue to provide nursing care and support to those affected.”

We stand in solidarity with all those impacted by this tragedy. We also recognise the vital role of nursing staff in responding to traumatic events, often under immense pressure and emotional strain.
