We are delighted to announce that Sian Grbin (pictured) is our new Council Member for the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Sian will take up her role on 1 January 2025.

Sian has been a member of the 51ºÚÁÏÍø since 2003 and has personally benefitted from the trade union’s advice and support over the years. She attended 51ºÚÁÏÍø Congress in Newport last year.

Sian brings with her extensive experience in the nursing profession. Of her ambitions as an 51ºÚÁÏÍø Council Member, Sian has said: “My interest in the role of 51ºÚÁÏÍø Council is in contributing to setting the 51ºÚÁÏÍø's strategy as informed by the members and using my knowledge and experience to support the 51ºÚÁÏÍø in lobbying the government.”
Council Members work on behalf of every one of more than half a million members to guide the 51ºÚÁÏÍø, which is world’s largest nursing union and professional body.

These Council Members collaborate to provide guidance and direction on our vision and strategic aims. 51ºÚÁÏÍø Council is made up of 17 elected members, including 12 nurse members. You can find out more about 51ºÚÁÏÍø Council here.
